Main Street Commons in Nyack Gets Facelift

So there is quite the controversy regarding the former Franklin Antiques Center indoor mall at 142 N. Main Street It has recently been renovated and renamed the Mainstream Commons. People who like the more traditional Nyack Victorian style are pretty upset with the new modern facade, and some who say Nyack is an eclectic village which mixes all styles of architecture. I am sure this debate/discussion will go on for quite some time. Meanwhile it is here and inside you will find a mix mix of new and old stores. Some of the older shops shops go back to the 1980s when Nyack was more of an antique center. Ku-Ku Antiques, My Own Little Corner/Gallery, and the Nyack Hospital Thrift Shop are a few of the older shops. Other newer stores include Babka Paradise, Mazel N’Gifts, Hudson Hi-Fi, and Spellbound of Nyack. Some say we will soon see a travel agency as well.
