The Nyack Park Conservancy was founded by a group of passionate citizens in 2005, and it is the only charitable organization designated to raise funds for Nyack’s Village-owned parks and public spaces.
The NPC wears many hats. It has raised funds that have enabled the Village to create new basketball courts, a dock for rowing vessels, the new children’s playground, a butterfly garden, the Nyack skate park, a state of the art zero depth children’s splash pad, and a children’s summer program in Memorial Park. The NPC has also funded scholarships benefiting the Village of Nyack Recreation Programs.
Several years ago NPC took over Music on the Hudson from now disbanded Friends of the Nyacks. It provides wonderful musical events in Nyack Memorial Park throughout most of the summer. These concerts are free and provide an opportunity for all members of the community to get together. The series begins June 27. For more info email me at [email protected].
