In an effort to help local Nyack restaurants flourish Nyack will close two downtown streets Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. to allow restaurants and businesses to expand outside into the street. The village has several municipal parking lots that restaurant patrons can utilize on this special night for free after 6:00PM.
The Coronavirus pandemic has taken a toll on our Village economy and we have seen several businesses close their doors, some temporary and others permanently. It may take years for the Nyack business community to fully recover but the Village is committed to doing their part to aid the healing. The opening of Nyack’s two main arteries on Friday nights is one step as we enter Phase 2 of the reopening plan.
