Nyack’s Holiday Promenade

We are starting a new tradition here in Nyack The Nyack Chamber of Commerce, the Village of Nyack, and Visit Nyack are all collaborating to present Nyack’s Holiday Promenade on Sunday, December 12, 2021! We are so excited!

We’ll be closing Main Street and Broadway to traffic from 11am to 6pm to create lots of room for festive dining, unique shopping, crafts and activities, live music, and so much more!
Detailed Schedule of Events
All events are free unless otherwise indicated.
10:00am-3:00pm: Nyack Chamber of Commerce’s Holiday Gift Fair
Shop small at the Nyack Chamber’s Annual Holiday Gift Fair, with one-of-a-kind gifts from local artisans at the Hudson Market on Main (also on Saturday, December 11th). 5 North Broadway
12:00pm-3:00pm: Kids Crafts in SoBro 
Kids of all ages can come to SoBro (South Broadway down below Hudson Street)  to create beautiful wooden trinkets and ornaments with paint, glue, glitter, and whatever else we have handy. (while supplies last). 79 South Broadway
12:00pm-2:00pm: Meet, Greet, and Pet the Summit School Pets for Purpose
Meet the Summit School Pets for purpose — Eleanor Pigby and her goat pals Scout and Sawyer — in a meet, greet, and petting opportunity at the Easter Veteran’s Square kiosk in a fundraiser for the Center for Safety & Change. Bring non-perishable foods or make a donation to pet, feed, and take pictures with the Nyack celebrities. 15 Cedar at Main
12:30pm-4:30pm: Kids Holiday Train Ride down South Broadway 
Kids can take the Holiday Train down Broadway from the North Pole (Burd Street) to the South Pole (Hudson Street), and then back again, taking in all the sights and sounds of the Promenade. Stops at 7 South Broadway and 48 South Broadway
1:00pm-1:30pm: The Polar Express Reading 
A live, open-air reading of the classic The Polar Express by Suzie Diano outside The Breakfast and Burger Club.  84 Main Street
1:00pm-3:00pm: Nyack Library’s Grab and Go Crafts Packs
The Nyack Library is providing free “Grag-and-Go” Crafts packs, which you can pick up in the Children’s Library while supplies last. 59 South Broadway
1:00pm-6:00pm: Maureen’s Community Holiday Singalong with David Budway
Come join David Budway and the band at Maureen’s Jazz Cellar for an afternoon’s festive singalong of holiday songs (and try both the hot chocolate and the “adult” version). 2 North Broadway
2:00pm-3:00pm: “Stars in the Afternoon” Holiday Concert at the First Reformed Church
The Morning Music Club presents the star-studded Holiday Concert featuring a singalong and finale of “Hallelujah Chorus” at the First Reformed Church ($10 suggested donation). 18 S. Broadway.  
3:00pm-4:00pm: Tree Decorating at the Gazebo
Come to the Gazebo at Hezekiah Easter Veteran’s Square to help decorate the holiday tree at the center of the gazebo, with the provided ornaments, your own decorations, or your handmade creations from the SoBro Kids Crafts event. Cedar & Main Streets
3:00pm-5:00pm: SoBro Live Rock Concert with Kids’ Bands
A live concert featuring talented local teen and pre-teen bands down. (South Broadway below Hudson). 77 South Broadway
3:00pm-5:00pm: Dreidel Spinning Tournament
Spin it to win it! Join fellow dreidel-spinning pros and amateurs alike in a tournament-style contest to crown a champion at the Dragon Den and Dungeon Hall. Free admission and even free hot chocolate at their outdoor bar. 102 Main Street
5:00pm-5:15pm: Santa’s Holiday Caravan from SoBro to the Gazebo
Watch as Santa and some of his elves ride a Red Mustang convertible sleigh up Broadway from SoBro to the Hezekiah Easter Veteran’s Square. Starts at 48 South Broadway to 15 Cedar at Main.
5:15pm-6:00pm: Santa’s Tree Lighting at the Gazebo
Join Santa and his elves for the lighting of the tree at the Gazebo in Easter Veteran’s Square, followed by a video display of a holiday classic on Cedar Street. 15 Cedar at Main Street.
7:00pm-9:00pm: Nyack Center’s Music and Readings in a Holiday Spirit
Cap off the evening with The Nyack Center‘s 27th Annual Music and Readings in a Holiday Spirit, co-produced by Bobby Belfry and Elliott Forrest, and featuring an array of music and readings to celebrate the holiday season. Tickets are $25/adult, $7/child. 58 Depew at South Broadway.

Be sure to stroll the whole village to enjoy decorated window displays, do some local holiday shopping, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy Holiday Promenade Specials — a special meal or deal at participating businesses!
